The PASMA Towers for Managers course will equip delegates with the specialist knowledge to keep towers accident-free zones and is designed specifically for managers and supervisors responsible for overseeing the work of operatives on site using mobile access towers.

Through a combination of theory and group exercises, the course teaches you what to look for from the ground – before, during and after work begins. No practical work is involved in this course; it’s all classroom-based theory.

The course is delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical assignments. Delegates will be assessed through a mixture of theory and practical tests.

• Where to find crucial safety information
• When it’s safe to use a tower, and when it’s not
• Different tower configurations
• Identifying hazards in the work environment
• Risk assessments
• Rescue plans
• Carrying out pre-use checks and post-assembly inspections on towers
• The components used in a mobile access tower
• Good practices for the safe use of mobile access towers
• Behavioural competencies
• Preventing personal health hazards

This course is suitable for any delegate responsible for managing people who use mobile access towers, ensuring that work is properly planned and organised, that those involved in carrying out the work are competent and that towers are correctly inspected and maintained.

Delegates should have a good working knowledge of the Work at Height Regulations and the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.

A PASMA Photocard valid for 5 years will be issued to successful delegates. If required, a hard copy certificate can be requested at an additional cost.
