Pedestrian Crowd Control Barriers
These temporary barrier systems can add security to a variety of locations and help direct and control pedestrian traffic on site. Our steel barriers have angled feet for extra stability and are easy to install and fix together.
They are suitable for low to medium crowd control, are available with pedestrian access gates and come in a standard size of 2.3m long x 1.1m high.
Our team remastered the original crowd control barrier for improved stability, rigidity and longer life, offering a much safer and secure pedestrian experience. The centre of gravity is lower and the gauge of the material is higher, improving the barrier's wind resistance.
The introduction of plastic feet help keep the barrier in place whilst avoiding marking sensitive surfaces such as decorative concourses.

Police Barriers
The Police Barrier is a 1.5 metre steel temporary barrier system, suitable for high crowd control.
These barriers are of a welded, galvanized steel construction fitted with a steel mesh panel and the base is designed to prevent sliding.
The heavy duty barrier is ideal for use at demonstrations, football matches, pop concerts and any other event where high security is needed. It is particularly suitable for controlling the flow of people and heavy crowd surges.
They can also be used in specific configurations, such as a box line, to create high security, sterile zones and difficult to breach barrier lines.
Concord/Angled Sports Barriers
The Concord Barrier is a 3 metre angled galvanised steel temporary barrier system, suitable for low to medium crowd control.
With a unique design, not only is crowd control safer and easier to manage, but also mass advertising opportunities are on offer for sponsors with the ability to interchange advertising panels.
The barrier offers a standalone, strong yet lightweight means of crowd protection that interlocks; additional safety is provided by its angled design. It is manufactured from galvanised tubular steel with Paladin anti-climb mesh infill, creating an attractive appearance even without an advertising panel.
The barriers are ideally suited for site enclosure, crowd control, tunnelling and general demarcation for shows and events, particularly at the start and finish of cycle and running races, as the angled design keeps spectators away from the athletes without affecting the viewers’ enjoyment of the event. They are also cost effective as the design allows for rapid installation and dismantling.
Fortress Fencing
The Fortress Fence is a 3 metre high, solid temporary fencing system, suitable for medium to high site security.
This formidable fence is an ideal solution for securing most locations and creating a safe compound.
At 3 metres high, it makes any intrusion difficult and the fence also comes with integral gates at 2.5 metres and 5 metres wide. Supports are used to hold the Fortress Fence in place at both ends, and these are then pinned to the ground.
Super Fortress Fencing
The Super Fortress is a 3.66 metre high, solid aluminium temporary fencing system, suitable for very high site security.
This system was developed to combat the problem of festival “fence jumpers” and consists of flat, smooth aluminium planks, erected and secured using a captive joint system. Super Fortress fencing boasts high security dependence by utilising tamper proof internal fixings and integrated gates; additionally, it is available with optional overhang extensions which increase the height to 4.12 metres.
Storm Fencing
As well as the traditional 2m high light mesh fencing, we offer Storm-Fence. This is a no-dig, self-supporting system that is 100mph wind-resistant.

Heras/Mesh Fencing
Our traditional Heras/Mesh fencing is galvanized, with rubber feet – helping maintain its appearance and making sure it is simple to deploy.
Pedestrian and vehicle gates are available, as are a range of screening materials to help blend the fencing into its environment, provide improved privacy or branding opportunities.
Acoustic Barriers
Noise pollution is something best kept to a minimum. Minimise noise from your site and help maintain the best possible relationships with local residents.
Our acoustic barriers are excellent for general noise control, with a BS EN rating of 28.2dB.
Designed to fit a 3.5m temporary fence panel, their patented velcro side connectors create seamless noise protection. The eyelets mean they can be easily suspended from site fencing, scaffolding and hoardings. This product is easily folded for transport and storage and can be branded with a message of your choice.
Chapter 8 Barriers
Chapter 8 barriers offer high visibility and conformance with traffic and street works safety standards, making them an obvious choice for directing traffic and keeping pedestrians safe on road works, construction & building sites.
How the Brit Fest was a first time success
A complete 360 solution was provided for Great British Festivals for the North West’s new summer event, the Brit Fest. Sunbelt Rentals provided virtually all of the temporary event infrastructure equipment required, as well as providing a full project management and on-site service throughout the duration of the three-day festival.
How the British Grand Prix went smoothly at Silverstone
The 2024 Grand Prix at Silverstone was a resounding success with record-breaking attendance. As part of an event infrastructure solution supporting the safe, secure and reliable delivery of one of the world’s biggest Formula 1 events, we supplied thousands of Barriers and Fencing, as well as Plant, Powered Access and Accommodation Units for use during the build, the event itself and the derig.
How we supported ESO Sports to deliver a sustainable event solution
ESO Sports handled the delivery of UCI Mountain Bike World Championships events which were held at Glentress Forest, Peebles, Scotland. For this cycling event Sunbelt Rentals provided and installed a vast range of equipment across several different product areas to ensure a sustainable solution for the customer.
Chesterfield Pride 2023
Chesterfield Pride is a one-day event hosted at Stand Road Park recreation ground every year to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. 2023 marked the biggest Chesterfield Pride in the seven-year history of the event, with two stages packed with entertainment, market stalls, food vendors and more.
2023 TCS London Marathon
The TSC London Marathon is one of the most prestigious and celebrated sporting events in the UK and worldwide. Millions people watch the marathon in the UK on television and it is also broadcast in 195 countries around the world.
2022 New Year’s Eve Celebrations
The 2022 New Year’s Eve celebrations in London marked the biggest ever fireworks display in the capital. Organised on behalf of the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, over 12,000 fireworks were blasted into the night sky on the stroke of midnight. More than 100,000 tickets were sold for the celebration along the bank of the River Thames with millions more watching it online and on TV.

Tour of Britain
The Tour of Britain is the UK's largest professional bike race, featuring some of the biggest teams and top level athletes from around the world. The eight stage men's road cycling race took place between 5th -12th September 2021. The race took the peloton from Cornwall, through Wales and North East England before finishing in Scotland, covering a total of 1320km.
Download Pilot Test Festival
The Download Pilot test festival was part of the second phase of the Government Event Research Programme and was held on 18th-20th June at Donington Park, Derbyshire. This 10,000-capacity event was a scaled down version of the usual 100,000 capacity. It was held as a three-day camping pilot for part of the ongoing research into the safe return of live music events.
Sefton Park Test Pilot Event
The Liverpool Pilot Event was the UK's first post-lockdown outdoor gig. Hosted on 2nd May 2021 at Liverpool's Sefton Park under a huge Big Top tent, the event formed part of a scientific experiment to help get the live music industry back up and running in a safe and secure way.
NHS Nightingale Hospital London Excel Walk-In Centre
The new NHS Nightingale Hospital was constructed in a matter of days and opened virtually by Prince Charles on Friday. Our London team was on site next day to deliver another very exciting first – the first UK walk-in Test Centre for NHS and frontline workers.
Department of Health & Social Care - NHS Regional Test Centres
We built over 500 regional testing centres during phase one of the UK government's regional testing site programme, in order to provide safe testing facilities for NHS and essential frontline workers in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. By March 2021 we had delivered almost 290,000 assets to regional testing sites nationwide.
Innovative Safety at Sellafield
We have worked closely with DSD Construction, a family run company in Carlisle for over 20 years. During this time, the team has built a long-term, strategic partnership delivering equipment to support the vital nuclear, civil and surfacing services provided by DSD across the UK.
Royal Wedding
The wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took place on 19th May 2018 in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. Almost 18 million people in the UK watched the Royal Wedding on TV, making it the most watched event of 2018. Almost 30 million were reported to have watched it in the United States and the global audience was estimated to be in the hundreds of millions. The wedding triggered a tourism boom in the UK and boosted the economy by hundreds of million pounds. Following the ceremony, the titles of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were bestowed by the Queen on Harry and Meghan.
More than 100,000 people lined the streets of Windsor and the grounds of its famous castle to celebrate the wedding and people had flown from across the world especially for the event. The event required meticulous planning with a huge requirement for temporary accommodation for the media compound and toilet facilities for the general public.
Crowd Control fit for a Prince
The wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was held on the 19th May 2018 in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
As well as wedding guests the couple involved members of the public by inviting 2,640 people to the grounds. From this vantage point the guests were able to watch arrivals at St George's Chapel and the carriage procession as it departed from the castle. Those invited included:
- 1,200 members of the public
- 200 people from a range of charities and organisations
- 100 pupils from two local schools
- 610 Windsor Castle community members
- 530 members of The Royal Households and Crown Estate
Glastonbury Festival
As the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world, Glastonbury was established in 1970, becoming an annual fixture in the 1980’s and growing to become the major event in British culture it is today.
Glastonbury does have fallow years. These are taken mostly at five-year intervals and are intended to give the land and local population a break as the festival attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each time, with the peak set at 300,000.
