How did we create a greener approach to corporate events?
A major investment group significantly reduced the environmental impact of running their annual summer celebrations by opting for sustainable power solutions, with 78% of the power generated using greener Battery Storage Units, and burning just 54 litres of fuel across the entire 4-day event.
Mellish Court Demolition
Mellish Court, a 19-storey tower block in Milton Keynes, failed to meet new fire safety standards and needed to be demolished. Following the successful relocation of all previous tenants in 2021, Milton Keynes City Council contracted Keltbray to undertake the demolition, one floor at a time.

Meridian Water is Enfield Council’s £6 billion, 25-year regeneration project, which will create 10,000 homes, including 4,000 affordable homes, helping to ease the London housing crisis with an emphasis on prioritising housing for local residents and generating thousands of new jobs that all benefit the local economy.

Our 360 Solutions team is now supporting Stadium Management’s three-year program to provide major events for the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). The 47th G7 Summit was the first of these high-profile projects, based in St. Ives in Cornwall, UK.

Sunbelt Rentals were approached by SSE to create a temporary contractors compound, to provide welfare facilities to subcontractors during a planned outage whilst annual maintenance work was carried out.
Balfour Beatty - EcoNet
As part of our quest to help our customers reduce carbon emissions, we have worked hand-in-hand with Balfour Beatty and Invisible Systems to develop Eco-Lync - a state-of-the-art, cloud-based energy and power management system which can reduce site emissions by as much as 80%. For Balfour Beatty projects, this system was known as EcoNet.
Eco-Friendly Lighting for Balfour Beatty Rail Compound
Sunbelt Rentals Rail worked closely with Balfour Beatty to design an environmentally friendly solution that safely lit the compound with zero noise and lighting pollution.
Sustainable Temporary Power at Killingholme
Balfour Beatty has a multi-million pound contract to build the onshore substation for Ørsted’s latest offshore wind farm, Hornsea Project Two, on the east coast of England. When it is operational in 2022, the wind farm will supply green electricity to over 1.3 million homes and will be the world’s largest offshore wind farm.
The new onshore substation facility will transform the power produced by Hornsea Project Two wind farm before connecting it to the National Grid. It is a major development in the future of the UK’s renewable industry and the project will make an important contribution towards the UK’s goal for renewable electricity generation.
During the construction phase, Balfour Beatty required a fuel and energy efficient means of providing power for temporary site accommodation and other equipment on the onshore substation site until 2021.
