NHS Nightingale Hospital London Excel Walk-In Centre

The new NHS Nightingale Hospital was constructed in a matter of days and opened virtually by Prince Charles on Friday. Our London team was on site next day to deliver another very exciting first – the first UK walk-in Test Centre for NHS and frontline workers.

In April 2020, London was at the very epicentre of the UK coronavirus pandemic.

The NHS and frontline support workers working in the very heart of our capital were risking their lives every day, helping literally thousands of patients including Boris Johnson our Prime Minister to battle the virus.

We had been proud to support our customers and the armed forces with the supply of equipment in the conversion of the Excel Centre, but to be asked to build and deliver the very first walk-in test centre was a great challenge to which we were happy to accept.

The team started out on site early and handed the centre back to our client within a matter of hours, having successfully delivered and installed a whole range of equipment and solutions from our in-house fleet. 

The site was ready to receive NHS and frontline workers for their covid-19 tests from the very next day.
